At the time of his World War I draft registration, Edward was a student and working as a porter at the Battle Creek Sanitarium, Battle Creek, Michigan. He is reported as having red hair and blue eyes and living at 170 Hubbard, Battle Creek, Michigan. At the 1920 census he was living in Battle Creek, but at the time of the 1930 census he was living in Boulder, Colorado, working as a bookkeeper. On April 2, 1925, Edward married Susan Louise Peters. Susan was born on September 28, 1898 in Fairview, Oklahoma, and passed away on May 20, 1975 in Sun City, Arizona. Edward passed away on December 13, 1991 in Loma Linda, California.
